The <\/span>Hog Wild Catalina 22 Regatta<\/span><\/span> is back and better than ever! Hosted by the <\/span>Iron Mountain Yacht Club<\/span><\/span> on the stunning DeGray Lake in Arkansas, this exciting event is scheduled for <\/span>April 18-19, 2026<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

This year’s regatta carries special significance as part of the <\/span>Catalina 22 National Sailing Association (C22NSA) Region 8 Championship<\/span><\/span> series. It’s a prime opportunity for Catalina 22 sailors to compete at a high level while enjoying the camaraderie that defines our class.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

We’re thrilled to welcome sailors from neighboring states and across <\/span>Region 8<\/span><\/span> (including fleets from Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and beyond). Whether you’re a seasoned racer gunning for championship points or a club member looking for a fun weekend on the water, this event promises competitive racing, beautiful lake sailing, and plenty of post-race socializing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

DeGray Lake offers fantastic sailing conditions with its protected waters, scenic shoreline, and reliable breezes\u2014perfect for the versatile and forgiving Catalina 22. The Iron Mountain Yacht Club, located at Iron Mountain Marina, provides an ideal base with excellent facilities for launching, rigging, and enjoying time ashore.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

    The Hog Wild Regatta (also known in some circles as the George Yerger Arkansas Hog Wild Regatta) has long been a favorite on the regional calendar, blending serious competition with the laid-back fun that Catalina 22 sailors love. Expect spirited racing on the water and plenty of stories swapped over food and drinks afterward.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
