Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10, 2026 — this is the event that brings everyone together for laughs, friendly rivalry, and some seriously delicious chili. Held once again at our scenic IMYC pavilion, we’ll gather starting just before 6:00 p.m. Plan to arrive hungry!).
Will Tonya Byrd defend her title and claim victory for another year? Her legendary recipe has been the talk of the docks since she grabbed Patsy’s long running first place win — but the competition is fiercer than ever. Who knows? This could be the year someone sails away with the crown!
How It Works (Simple & Fun):
- Competitors: Bring your best pot of chili — homemade, secret ingredients welcome, heat level up to you. Whether it’s classic beef, veggie-packed, white chicken, or something wildly creative, we want to taste it!
- Non-competitors: You lucky folks get the sweet assignment — bring your favorite desserts to share. Think pies, brownies, cookies, or that special fall treat you make every year.
- The Club Provides: All the sides and accompaniments — cornbread, crackers, cheese, onions, sour cream, and more to make your bowl perfect.
- Judging: It’s pure democracy! Members taste and vote for their favorites in the blind tasting. The top chilis earn those coveted prizes — bragging rights, shiny trophies, and the eternal glory of being crowned IMYC Chili Champion.
This isn’t just about the food; it’s about the camaraderie that makes our club special.
