Members of the IMYC met together on Saturday, January 20th to discuss the 2024 year. It was a frigid 20 degrees, but we were busy dreaming of warmer weather, sailing, and sunsets. We started off by welcoming several new members and a couple of former members were welcomed back.
Ron Nash presented a report on the 2023 National Catalina 22 Regatta. Ron was instrumental in bringing this regatta to our club and its overwhelming success. He was presented with a 
Catalina race poster signed by all the participants.
The annual financial report was presented to the club members by Chuck Atkinson. Our financial strength this year is associated with our hosting of the C22 Nationals. Membership dues were collected for 2024 with discussion on increasing our club membership numbers.
Members outlined the upcoming events for the year which include several races, fun dinners, a chili cookoff, and even a dockbox sale. Members tossed around lots of ideas for a Discover Sailing Day as well as Christmas light display and s’mores gathering. More to come as details are worked out. Be on the lookout for a poll to garner interest in some of these events moving forward.
